Fix the display first

Enable your TV or monitor's 'Game Mode.' It disables image-smoothing and processing features that add tens of milliseconds of lag. On a TV this is often the single biggest improvement you can make. Also make sure you're using the monitor at its native resolution and full refresh rate in your OS settings.

Raise your frame rate

Higher frames per second means the screen has a newer image ready sooner, which lowers input lag — even on a 60Hz display. If your hardware can handle it, uncapping or raising your FPS reduces latency. Pair this with variable refresh rate (G-Sync/FreeSync) to avoid tearing without the lag penalty of traditional V-Sync.

Turn off laggy sync options
